Prepare the Waffles:
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and maple syrup until well-blended.
Make the Batter: Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just until they’re combined.
Cook the Waffles: Preheat a waffle iron and lightly coat with cooking spray. Deposit the batter into the iron and cook according to the appliance’s directions until the waffles are golden and crisp. Reserve them.
Prepare the Burgers:
Season the Beef: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
Grill the Patties: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Add a slice of cheese to each during the last minute to melt.
Assemble the Maple Bacon Waffle Burger:
Construct the Base: Start with a waffle on the bottom.
Layer the Components: Add a cheese-topped burger patty, two slices of bacon, and optional lettuce and tomato.
Add Sweetness: Drizzle maple syrup over the top.
Cap it Off: Place another waffle on top to finish the burger.
