Taco Soup Recipe

In a large pot, brown the hamburger and chopped onion over medium heat. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat.
Add the cream cheese to the pot and stir until fully melted and combined with the meat and onions.
Pour in the can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies, chicken broth or stock, garlic powder, and taco seasoning. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Allow the soup to simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
To serve, ladle the soup into bowls and top with cheddar cheese and sour cream if desired. Enjoy!
